What will you do at Ford Motor Company?
Order Fulfillment Product Group delivers capability from Sales and Operations
Planning (S&OP); multiple distribution models across EU, IMG and NA including
wholesale and supporting eCommerce; vehicle configuration services; scheduling
for all assembly plants; sales reporting; company vehicle management; and Global
Trade Services. These capabilities are spread across six product lines and are
the heart of all vehicle orders. The global team has a small footprint in the
UK with the rest of the team equally split between Chennai and Dearborn. The
full Product Group has approx. 500 team members and 100+ applications.
The product group is undergoing significant transformation and modernization.
Highlights include
* Transforming S&OP process and implementing a platform solution that can be
extended to S&OE.
* Establishing an Order Fulfillment Platform to shift away from multiple
products
* Transforming the Dealer experience for order management
* Modernizing away from legacy solutions to modern services.
* Key enabler for other company initiatives such as Material Management
Planning modernization and new vehicle launches.
This role collaborates directly and continuously with all product lines
including Product Owners and Software Engineering teams, and also with
interfacing groups.
As a Technical Product Manager Specialist, you will be engaging with multiple
teams, projects and support the Order Fulfillment strategic roadmap.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Evaluate existing Product Management and Jira practices across product lines
and seek improvement/standardization opportunities
* Support Product Group-wide PI Planning setup and cadence
* Develop PI Planning dashboards for teams to understand capacity as they plan
* Enhance existing Product Group Jira Dashboards
* Own and manage the Product Group Jira instance (quests and sagas).
* Support multi-year project initiatives such as SOS by driving best in class
Product Management practices
* Lead aggregation and automation of BPR metrics (SDLC, Jira Health, QOS) for
the Product Group
* Explore automation opportunities in our finance and forecasting processes
* Evaluate new Product Management practices and tools for the Product Group
* Act as a backup for all Product Group Integration forums: PGIT, OF Sync, PM
Community of Practice (CoP)
* Advances own progression on the learning path.
* Fosters a safe environment for experimentation and continuous learning
* Use metrics as a tool to shape and align work, anticipate demand, open
conversations, and learn
QUALIFICATIONS
Must Have
* Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
* 5+ years of product management expertise with a solid foundation in agile
software development.
* Proven ability to define product vision, strategy, and roadmap, and
experience in creating and managing product backlogs.
* Expertise in leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder
expectations.
* Ability to manage complex integrations and dependencies across various
products, product lines, and product groups.
* Experience using AI tools such as CoPilot, OpenCode, or FordLLM
* Experience using Jira
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Good to Have
* Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
* Demonstrated DevSecOps mindset, with full ownership of development, security,
and operational support aspects of a product.
* Experience in service-oriented architecture and the development of
APIs/Microservices.
* Familiarity with serverless computing and event-driven architecture.
* Experience in the automotive industry or related technology fields.

This position ranges from salary grade 6-8 and ranges from $85,400-$192,900.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and
experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to
job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
