In this position...
Vehicle Cloud & Mobile is seeking a Full Stack Engineer with 2–3 years of experience to join our organization.
In this role, you will
- design, build, and scale the cloud platforms and APIs that power connected experiences for our mobile, retail, and fleet customers.
- You will work across the software development lifecycle—collaborating with mobile and vehicle hardware teams to ensure seamless end-to-end integration, writing clean and secure backend services, and leveraging modern DevOps pipelines to deploy your code to the cloud.
- What you'll do:
- Build & Scale: Design, develop, and support robust APIs, microservices, and cloud-native platforms using Spring Boot (Java) and Ktor (Kotlin) frameworks.
- Cloud & Infrastructure: Deploy and manage services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) leveraging modern containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and serverless technologies like Cloud Run and Cloud Pub/Sub.
- End-to-End Integration: Collaborate cross-functionally with mobile app and vehicle/device teams to integrate, test, and triage end-to-end connected features.
- DevOps & Automation: Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Cloud Build to ensure fast and reliable deployments.
- Code Quality & Security: Practice Test-Driven Development (TDD) to ensure high code coverage. Leverage tools like SonarQube, Cycode, 42Crunch, and FOSSA to deliver secure, compliant, and high-quality software.
- Observability & Support: Implement log management and system monitoring using Splunk or GCP Cloud Logging to proactively identify issues. Participate in on-call rotations to support critical outages.
- Agile Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering Managers in an Agile/Scrum environment to break down complex requirements into incremental, production-ready user stories.
- You’ll have...
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical field
- Experience: 2–3 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience developing microservices using Spring Boot (Java) or Ktor (Kotlin)
- Proven experience designing and implementing APIs on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience leveraging containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes
- Experience setting up or maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, or Jenkins.
- Commitment to code quality through Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Familiarity with static code analysis, licensing, and security tools (e.g., SonarQube, FOSSA, Cycode).
- Experience with log management, monitoring, and alerting tools like Splunk or GCP Cloud Logging.
- Senior-level individuals will NOT be considered for this role.

- This position is a salary grade 5 and ranges from $68,300-$114,800.
- This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $85,400-$143,200.
- Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
