The Configuration Specialist plays a vital role configuring collaboration products within our Engineering platform. As part of a highly collaborative team, the role will interact with many technical, engineering resources across the enterprise. The ideal candidate is a committed, creative, self-motivated technologist with an interest in satisfying business needs and who is interested in practicing his or her skills and learning new ones.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Collaborate with IT Product Managers on key Engineering functionality to determine opportunities for leveraging Dassault Systemes applications (3DExperience, Enovia, Catia, Solidworks Mechanical, Solidworks Electrical) • Determine business requirements through elicitation with engineering subject matter experts • Research and document current business processes and provide process improvement recommendations to the business where applicable • Write technical requirements for both configuration and development needs • Configure and maintain solutions to deliver custom functionality in existing platforms • Business and technical configuration on new products (including add-ons) within the Dassault Systems platforms • Refactor solutions that can be addressed by configuration to reduce complexity, and simplify maintenance • Collaborate with Simulations engineering as needed • Collaborate with IT Account Managers on estimates, timelines, delays and risks to ensure business leaders’ expectations are being met • Support QA and UAT testing • Support end user training, including user guide creation as needed • Troubleshoot and fix problems and provide root cause analysis in a timely manner • Provide mentorship to Configuration Specialist as needed • Provide support, if required, after hours and weekend work • Complete other tasks as required • Be accountable and responsible for the accuracy and completeness of assigned work and results • Prioritize and manage workload and communicate issues clearly
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent industry experience
Minimum Experience
5+ years in Engineering configuration for on-premises Dassault Systems 3DExperience and Enovia modules
3+ years’ experience in technical documentation
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Proficiency with SAP concepts: custom workflows, transports, and configuration management
Experience with SDLC and Agile methodologies such as TFS, Git, SCRUM etc.
System and networking fundamentals
Excellent communication skills
Successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams
Good written and verbal communications skills
Excellent organizational skills, including ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
