This team is critical as we grow into our next phase, surfacing and solving cross-functional problems, translating strategy into execution, eliminating friction, and accelerating Evvy’s progress against our goals.This role sits at the center of how Evvy operates and grows. You'll operate as a GM across major strategic initiatives — owning strategy through execution — then develop the strategic point of view on the next set of big bets.
In parallel, you'll help build the Evvy operating system that allows the company and Evvy’s CEO to execute as effectively as possible against our most ambitious goals.This role is intentionally broad and dynamic. As a generalist operator, you’ll work on the highest priority company needs and initiatives, which will evolve as the business grows.
You’ll thrive in this role if you’re someone who quickly gets up the learning curve, brings structure and execution to ambiguous situations, and knows how to prioritize exceptionally well along the way.
Success in this role will vary depending on the work at hand, but you'll always be able to point to a piece of the business you own end-to-end and clearly move forward.You'll report to Evvy's Chief of Staff & Head of BizOps, and partner closely with our co-founders (primarily our CEO) and functional team leads.Evvy is an in-person team based in New York, NY.
Given the cross-functional nature of this role, our ideal candidate is located in NYC.What You'll DoDrive New Business BetsAct as a GM for a major strategic initiative against a core company metric, whether it’s a new product, channel, market, or verticalSet the strategy, build the plan, and bring together the right cross-functional teams needed to take it from thesis to launch and beyondAs needed, make recommendations on vendors, budget allocation, and hires to leadership team, in order to enable success of the new betEstablish what success looks like upfront, and make the judgment call when the effort is ready to transition to an existing functional owner or spin up a new teamOwn Strategy SprintsLead the analysis against Evvy’s highest-level strategic questions that haven’t yet landed on the company roadmap – think pathway to reimbursement strategy, new product expansion (market sizing, competitive analysis, fit for Evvy), international growth & moreDevelop a perspective and recommendation to support leadership decisions on what Evvy commits to next, and how it should be sequenced against everything else in flightPartner with functional leaders to translate decisions from these sprints into the right set of next stepsEngineer the Evvy Operating SystemSupport the company-wide systems and processes that translate strategy into alignment and execution — including quarterly/annual planning cycles, KPIs and business reviews, All Hands, and moreEnsure company priorities are translated into clear team-level owners with appropriate resourcing and defined, measurable outcomesSpot organizational friction or decentralized problems as Evvy scales and fix them before it becomes a bigger problemForce Multiply the CEOWork closely with Evvy’s CEO and Chief of Staff on the recurring and high priority work, including investor relations, advisory board engagement, board presentations, and external touchpointsProvide flexible support in high priority areas where the CEO needs additional leverageWhat We're Looking ForYou have:5-8 years of experience, with a mix of strategy work (e.g. consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, venture capital, strategic finance) and operating experience at a fast-growing start-upA proven track record leading cross-functional, ambiguous initiatives where you’ve had real ownership and driven meaningful outcomesStrong analytical skills that you’re comfortable adapting to new use cases, whether it’s building a forecast, sizing a market size, or quantifying a launch planA real knack for moving between big-picture strategy and the operational detail needed to actually build somethingYou are:Someone who thrives in situations with high ownership and high ambiguity, and know how to apply thoughtful judgment, bias towards action, and adapt as you get more informationEqually excited by building the plan and doing the work to make it realAn exceptional, clear communicator (written and verbally) who can bring leadership and cross-functional teams along at the right altitudeAdept at building trust and credibility at all levels and with varying functions, without relying on title or top-down authorityEnergized by context switching and getting to own and touch a wide swath of the businessHelpful but not required:Experience in digital health or women’s healthExperience working in venture capital, ideally with purview into consumer healthWorking at EvvyEvvy is a primarily in-person team based in New York, NY with a strong culture of collaboration and connection.
