About the role

Eagle Industries is seeking a mid- to senior-level IT Systems Engineer to own the design, maintenance, and reliability of the company's technology infrastructure. Based on-site in Harahan, this hands-on role keeps servers, networks, and cloud systems running smoothly across Eagle's headquarters, remote sites, and distributed workforce. The Systems Engineer works closely with Eagle's IT Project Manager and coordinates with outside technology partners as needed.

This is an individual contributor role suited to someone who takes ownership, communicates well with technical vendors and non-technical staff alike, and keeps Eagle's systems secure, stable, and well documented.

Eagle's environment runs on Microsoft 365 and supports a range of cloud-based business applications across finance, sales, operations, and HR, including Epicor Prophet 21 (ERP), Rippling (HRIS), and HubSpot (CRM), along with reporting and analytics tools including Phocas and Comparatio.

A central part of this role is administering and supporting Eagle's ERP, Epicor Prophet 21, which runs the company's order, inventory, purchasing, and shipping operations.

Job Responsibilities

Administer Eagle's servers, virtual environments, directory services, and cloud-hosted systems.

Manage Microsoft 365, including accounts, email, file storage, and collaboration tools.

Maintain network infrastructure across all locations, including firewalls, switches, wireless, and VPN.

Provision and manage employee devices, including deployment, patching, and endpoint security.

Monitor system performance and availability, and resolve issues before they affect operations.

Maintain and test backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.

Manage identity and access, including single sign-on, multifactor authentication, and permissions.

Apply security best practices across systems and respond to threats.

Serve as Eagle's primary Epicor Prophet 21 administrator, keeping the ERP stable, secure, and available.

Manage ERP users, roles, and permissions, along with the underlying SQL Server database.

Plan, test, and apply Prophet 21 updates and version upgrades with Epicor and outside partners.

Configure ERP modules and workflows to match Eagle's order, inventory, purchasing, and shipping processes.

Manage Prophet 21 integrations and safeguard data integrity across item, customer, vendor, and pricing records.

Build reports and dashboards using SQL and Crystal Reports, and administer Phocas and Comparatio.

Troubleshoot and train Prophet 21 users across sales, purchasing, warehouse, and accounting.

Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues and support remote employees across locations.

Partner with the IT Project Manager on system rollouts and migrations, and coordinate with outside vendors.

Document systems and procedures, and recommend improvements that support Eagle's growth.
