IT Development Program (ITDP) – AI-Native Software Engineer
Dell IT is looking for a new kind of campus hire: AI-Native Engineers ready to
make an accelerated impact from day one. As part of the IT Development Program
(ITDP), you'll rotate across high-priority teams, partnering with experienced
engineers, architects, data scientists, and product leaders to build intelligent
solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. We are seeking recent
graduates who combine strong software engineering fundamentals with hands-on
experience applying Generative AI technologies such as copilots, AI agents, and
Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to solve real-world problems.
At Dell Technologies, we invest in the development of our early career talent

Throughout the program, participants develop technical expertise, business

What you’ll achieve
As a part of the IT Development Program, you'll experience rotations during your
first two years in Dell IT. This rotation program is designed to provide broad
exposure across different technology teams while helping you build the skills
needed for a successful long-term career.
During the program, you will complete two one-year rotations before being
placed in your final role upon graduation from the program.

Throughout your rotations, you'll contribute to delivering business outcomes
through modern software engineering, AI-powered solutions, data-driven decision

Depending on business needs, your day-to-day role may include:
* Develop and deploy AI-powered applications, assistants, agents, and
intelligent workflows
* Build scalable software solutions using cloud-native architectures and modern
engineering practices
* Design and implement integrations across enterprise applications, APIs, data
platforms, and AI services
* Contribute to Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, and automation
solutions that improve business productivity
* Partners with architects, product managers, data scientists, and software
engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions
* Apply responsible AI, security, privacy, and governance principles throughout
the development lifecycle
* Participate in CI/CD, monitoring, testing, and operational excellence
practices to ensure reliable and scalable solutions
* Use data and experimentation to improve customer and employee experience
* Learn emerging technologies quickly and apply them to real-world business
challenges
Essential Requirement
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software
Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or Machine Learning
* Foundation in software engineering principles, including object-oriented
programming, data structures, algorithms, testing, and system design
* Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java,
JavaScript, TypeScript, or C++
* Hands-on experience developing and deploying AI-powered applications,
including work with generative AI, LLMs, AI assistants, agents, prompt
engineering, or RAG solutions
* Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems, communicate effectively,
collaborate across teams, and deliver measurable results with accountability

Desirable Requirements
* Demonstrated experience developing AI-powered solutions using modern AI/ML
frameworks, including assistants, agents, workflow automation, and
recommendation systems
* Knowledge of cloud and software engineering practices, including APIs,
microservices, containers, CI/CD, data platforms, and evidence of applied
innovation through projects, research, open source, or technical competitions
Compensation
* Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary
for this position is $89,520 USD annually
