PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Senior Network & Cloud Engineer is a hands-on technology professional responsible for supporting mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures through IT integration and separation planning, analysis, and execution.
The role performs Microsoft 365 migrations for Exchange Online and SharePoint Online using BitTitan MigrationWiz, executes migration activities including moving bulk files and servers within cloud environments like Azure and AWS, troubleshoots issues, validates data integrity, and supports cutover operations. This employee works with managers and cross-functional teams to coordinate dependencies, communicate risks and recommendations, and deliver work aligned with business and project objectives.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Support mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures through IT integration and separation planning, analysis, and execution
· Assess applications, infrastructure, data, and IT operating models to identify Day 1, transitional, and end-state requirements
· Use the established M&A playbook to develop workplans, track milestones, coordinate dependencies across workstreams, and identify changes in scope or risk
· Conducts rapid, high-pressure discovery that identify migration risks, map out dependencies, and provide an accurate integration timeline to executive stakeholders
· Execute Microsoft 365 mailbox and content migrations, including Exchange Online and SharePoint Online migrations using BitTitan MigrationWiz
· Execute Phone and Fax porting to Definiti systems
· Conduct application and infrastructure discovery by inventorying on-premises workloads, mapping dependencies, and assessing migration complexity and readiness
· Execute virtual machine lift-and-shift migrations, including AWS server creation activities
· Plan and support network and migration cutovers, including DNS management, T-minus checklists, rollback decision criteria, and communication plans
· Troubleshoot migration issues, validate data integrity, document outcomes, identify migration risks, and recommend mitigation before cutover
· Build business cases, financial analyses, and stakeholder-ready deliverables supporting IT synergy, cost reduction, migration, and rationalization decisions
· Work with managers and cross-functional teams to validate outputs, communicate recommendations, and deliver work aligned with organizational needs and engagement objectives
· Work with Project Manager to ensure clear communication on all activities
Requirements
- COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
- · Demonstrated hands-on knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and large-scale mailbox and content migrations
- · Certification in AWS or Azure preferred
- · Ability to execute, monitor, and troubleshoot migrations using BitTitan MigrationWiz
- · Possess advanced expertise in rapidly deploying repeatable landing zones and creating temporary, highly-automated bridge networks for faster integration techniques
- · Strong knowledge of DNS, mail routing, MX records, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC
- · Ability to create AWS infrastructure to support server and file migrations, including use of data synchronization tools to move data efficiently into the Definiti environment.
- · Ability to interpret discovery outputs, map technical dependencies, and assess migration complexity and readiness
- · Strong troubleshooting, documentation, risk assessment, and cutover planning skills
- · Ability to work independently, lead projects or workstreams, collaborate across teams, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- · Effective written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, professional demeanor, and the ability to build and sustain professional relationships
- · Meticulous attention to detail, quality of work product, sound judgment, and the ability to meet deadlines
- EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in computer science preferred
- · 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, systems administration, or related technology roles
- · 5-7 years of strong hands-on expertise in Merger & Acquisition (M&A)
- · Hands-on experience migrating Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, large-scale mailbox migrations, and content migrations.
- · Experience using BitTitan MigrationWiz or similar migration tools preferred.
- · Experience with PowerShell and migration automation preferred.
- · Experience conducting application and infrastructure discovery, inventorying workloads, and mapping technical dependencies.
- · Experience supporting VM lift-and-shift migrations, AWS infrastructure setup, server creation, and related file/data migration activities.
- · Experience with DNS management, mail routing, and network cutover activities.

We utilize many Microsoft Teams features (such as Channels and file storage) for announcements, relevant conversations, and file sharing. Familiarity with Microsoft Teams is a plus
- Accustomed with file-storage and file-sharing tools such as Microsoft SharePoint
