DRS RADA Technologies is hiring an on-site Systems Engineer – DevOps in Germantown, Maryland.
We’re looking for a DevOps engineer to develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines for our software-defined radar systems. This role involves working across virtualized environments and custom hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) infrastructure to support rapid, reliable software integration and testing.

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins (groovy) to support validation of radar software releases
Develop and maintain DevOps infrastructure in local-hosted air-gapped environment, managing physical and virtual test assets for internal users
Work with team leads to integrate legacy systems with existing test infrastructures
Ability to work across many disparate software languages/technologies
May use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software in the performance of assignments
Ability to work independently under supervision of others
Provide regular reporting on progress and status
Responsible for completion of assigned task on time and meeting technical requirements
Review customer specifications and requirements, and under direction, develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable
Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems and services
Support the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirements
Develop prototypes to retire key development risks as directed
Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required
May participate in preparation of less complex proposals
Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings
What you bring:
Novice technical expertise and application domain knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Related technical field
Up to 2 years of experience with Python, C, C++, Rust, Bash, Powershell
Up to 2 years of experience managing server infrastructure and configurations
Candidates with more than 2 years of relevant experience may be considered for a Level II position.
Experience with Jenkins pipelines and Groovy scripting
Experience with virtual machines and containerized solutions, i.e. EXXi, Proxmox, Docker, etc.
Git CLI knowledge and branching/merging basics
Desired: Experience with GitHub Actions and/or GitLab CI/CD
Desired: Experience with Atlassian software suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
The salary range for this position is $75,956.00/year-$98,743.00/year. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity.
Other factors include the candidate’s qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for: annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable.
