Senior QA AnalystDepartment: Quality AssuranceEmployment Type: Permanent - Full TimeLocation: ReykjavíkReporting To: Rohana RazakDescriptionAs a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst on an EVE Online gameplay team, you will guide testing from early design through release and live monitoring.
You will work closely with design, engineering, and production to identify risks, shape test coverage, and help the team deliver reliable, engaging gameplay.You will develop deep knowledge of your team's gameplay systems and how they interact with the wider game. As an advocate for players, you will contribute to design discussions, challenge assumptions, and provide actionable feedback on gameplay and usability.
You will also coordinate outsourced testing while improving how the team builds quality into everyday development.Your Tasks Own the team's test approach, maintaining test plans, cases, regression coverage, and supporting documentation with input from the team. Perform hands-on testing of gameplay features, mechanics, and interactions with existing systems, from design through release. Assess quality risks, estimate testing effort, and partner with the producer to ensure adequate testing time and coverage.
Coordinate testing across the development team and outsourced testers, providing clear priorities, instructions, and feedback. Drive collaboration across teams and encourage shared ownership of quality. Manage defects through triage, investigation, prioritization, and verification, helping the team make informed release decisions.
Review player bug reports, external issue lists, and relevant forum discussions to identify issues within the team's domain. Coordinate deployment testing and post-release verification, communicating results and outstanding risks. Ensure coverage across PC and Mac, including appropriate platform, performance, and regression testing.
Monitor relevant code, asset, and data changes, and coordinate access to working test environments, tools, and pipelines. Improve testing practices and identify opportunities for automation, contributing to automated tests where appropriate. Your Profile At least five years of software or game testing experience, including coordinating and working effectively with outsourced testers.
A thorough understanding of development processes and testing throughout the project lifecycle. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate game mechanics, controls, interfaces, player feedback, rules, and rewards. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to reproduce, isolate, and clearly document defects.
The ability to prioritize testing based on risk and communicate quality concerns clearly. Excellent written and spoken English, with strong collaboration skills. An organized, methodical, and proactive approach, combined with curiosity and creative problem-solving.

- Familiarity with Scripting, Python or other programming languages.
