The Opportunity

Join CACI, a leader in providing innovative solutions for the nation’s most critical missions, as a Cyber Security Engineer. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in enhancing the cybersecurity posture of our Space Mission Systems through the execution of modification projects and coordination of vulnerability remediation.

Your expertise will be instrumental in implementing robust cybersecurity practices and standards, ensuring the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of the DoD Satellite Control Network (SCN) to include both sustainment and modernization of current mission systems.

Responsibilities

  • • Support cybersecurity professionals in reviewing multiple RMF packages and risk assessments across mission systems supporting the Data Transport and Receive Network (DTRN) (e.g., SCN, SCN Test Lab, Orbital Analysis Subsystem).
  • • Identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks across hardware, software, and network layers.
  • • Assist development of security design artifacts in coordination with program requirements.
  • • Support automated vulnerability and configuration management through use of provided scripts, scanning tools (ACAS, Nessus, EvaluateSTIG, Ansible), and CI/CD integration where applicable.
  • • Conduct STIG scans and vulnerability identification across OS, firmware, and network devices.
  • • Support completion cybersecurity documentation within configuration control.
  • • Support continuous monitoring strategies to maintain ATO and respond to evolving threats.
  • • Support incident response procedures and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Required:
  • • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • • Current DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or III certification (e.g., Security+, CASP+, CISSP).
  • Desired:
  • • Experience working with DoD programs or systems operating in IL4/IL5/IL6 environments.
  • • Experience with AWS GovCloud, Cross Domain, Endpoint Security Service, Firewall

  • There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.   • The proposed salary range for this position is:
  • $53,100-$106,300
