What will you do at BNY?
We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associate, Full Stack
Engineer to join our Enterprise Onboarding platform team. This role is located
in Pittsburgh, PA.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
* Contribute to the design, development, and delivery of software solutions
that power BNY's business-critical Enterprise Onboarding platform.
* Apply sound engineering judgment to build scalable, reliable, and
maintainable applications and services.
* Partner with senior engineers to develop AI-enabled capabilities leveraging
large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), model
APIs, prompt engineering, agentic workflows, and related technologies.
* Collaborate with architects, engineers, product partners, and operations
teams to translate business requirements into high-quality technical
solutions.
* Develop, test, deploy, and support application features and services across
the software development lifecycle.
* Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, troubleshooting,
and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance engineering quality and
team effectiveness.
* Leverage modern engineering practices, automation, AI-assisted development
tools, and CI/CD pipelines to improve software quality and delivery
efficiency.
* Support operational excellence through observability, resiliency, production
readiness, incident response, and operational documentation.
* Contribute as an active member of Agile teams, helping deliver against
business priorities and committed outcomes.
* Build knowledge of financial services and onboarding processes to develop
solutions that align technology capabilities with business needs.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related discipline,
or equivalent work experience required.
* 2 plus years of experience in software development required.
* Experience designing, developing, and supporting reliable, scalable
applications in production environments.
* Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems
development.
* Experience with relational databases, data modeling, and application
performance optimization.
* Hands-on experience with microservices architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and
containerization technologies.
* Familiarity with event-driven architectures, messaging platforms such as
Kafka and MQ, and large-scale data processing environments.
* Experience working within Agile development teams, including software
testing, source code management, release management, and production support.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
* Experience with Python or other scripting languages is preferred.
* Foundational knowledge of generative AI and machine learning technologies,
including LLMs, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
context management, and model APIs.
* Experience within financial services or other regulated industries is
preferred.

Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors,
including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base
salary is only part of the total rewards package, which may include eligibility
for an annual discretionary incentive award. Subject to the terms and conditions
of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a
401(k) plan as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision,
and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible
dependents. Eligible employees also may receive other benefits (including
various paid time off benefits, such as vacation and sick time), dependent on
