About the role
What will you do at SAIC?
SAIC is seeking a Software Application Developer for our location in North
Charleston, SC to support the Marine Corps. Signal Intelligence Systems (SIS)
group to develop mission planning tools. The position will be responsible for
creating and modifying Graphical User Interface (GUI) components and web page
design. Candidate must be capable of creating Application Programming Interface
(API) connections to database information that will be presented in the
GUI. Applications will be developed inside of multiple Docker containers and
will interact with components existing in other containers as well as external
data feeds.
Position offers 1 telework day per week.
Job Duties:
* Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies, including:
* Sprint Planning to define scope and priorities
* Daily Stand-Ups to provide progress updates and identify blockers
* Sprint Reviews to demo completed work and gather stakeholder feedback
* Sprint Retrospectives to evaluate team processes and propose improvements
* Backlog Refinement sessions to clarify requirements and ensure stories are
ready for future sprints
* Execute project development tasks by creating clear, user-centered wireframes
and translating them into high‑quality, maintainable code aligned with
established standards, architecture, and project timelines
* Conduct thorough peer code reviews to ensure accuracy, maintainability, and
adherence to best practices, while offering constructive feedback that
supports team learning and code quality
* Collaborate with subject matter experts (SME) on UX development
