What will you do at SAIC?
SAIC is seeking a TACNET CB-ISEA Mid-level Senior Network Engineer (Fleet
Support) to join our team in Everett, WA. This role is Remote but MUST BE LOCAL
TO AREA due to on site needs. This position requires frequent and regular onsite
support aboard U.S. Navy ships. The engineer will work directly with Active Duty
personnel and government staff to deliver high quality repair and technical
support for Navy afloat networks, including systems such as ADNS, ISNS, CANES,
FSW, CENTRIXS, Legacy SCI, VIXS, and WRBS. Travel within the U.S. and
internationally may be required (approx. 25%), along with occasional after hours
support.
JOB DUTIES:
* Provide break/fix IT support in a fast paced shipboard environment and
troubleshoot LAN issues to determine effective resolutions.
* Perform root cause analysis and recommend permanent configuration or system
changes when needed.
* Collaborate with external partners, consultants, vendors, and government
agencies to resolve inter-system issues and support integration efforts.
* Deliver server and network break/fix support, including remote
troubleshooting of servers, networks, desktops, and peripheral devices.
* Advise and guide Navy customers on best practices for maintaining afloat
networks and associated components supporting data, voice, and communication
services.
* Participate in technical meetings, prepare progress updates, and deliver
briefs and presentations as needed.
* Support engineering and design reviews through participation in integrated
product teams.
