What will you do at SAIC?
SAIC has an exciting opportunity for an AI Solutions Engineer to help us
transform the way work is done for one of our major government clients. The AI
Solutions Engineer will assist with building the AI capabilities used by
end-users, administrators, and the application development community. Our client
is committed to a journey that will modernize hundreds of legacy applications
with unprecedented speed, digitize low-to-no-tech business processes, and outfit
the organization with cutting edge tools for planning and decision making. The
ideal candidate will have a strong background in traditional application
development practices, expertise configuring an agentic harness, and an
understanding of the business challenges associated with adopting AI.
This position is a fully onsite role at the customer location in Washington, DC.
Experience with frontier models and tools such as Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode,
or Cursor is essential.
* Design and configure enterprise AI tools such as agentic harnesses and
chatbots.
* Define and refine strategies for efficient token usage.
* Support the AI-enabled development of mission applications by troubleshooting
integration issues, API errors and system reliability concerns.
* Train the user community on best practices, limitations and advanced
capabilities.
* Recommend new options to executives as industry capabilities evolve.
* Monitor the service health and cost associated with AI usage.
