Beacon's robust asynchronous work practices ensure a first-class remote work experience, but we also have in-person office hubs located in Boston and New York.</p><div class="markdown-heading"><h3 class="heading-element">What success looks like</h3><a id="user-content-what-success-looks-like" class="anchor" href="https://github.com/beacon-biosignals/knowledge-base/blob/ed014247dd41a8ba2722015c2055df9ff67838e5/records/job-posts/front-end-engineer-iv.md#what-success-looks-like"></a></div><p>As part of our small, mission-driven Web Apps Team, you will:</p><ul><li>Develop our React/Typescript web applications.</li><li>Design and implement UX workflows for clinical study management, data analytics, and patient diagnostics.</li><li>Own the user experience, performance, reliability, and observability of the web apps and features you develop, leveraging feedback from real users in a diverse set of use cases and environments.</li><li>Partner with product designers and cross-functional teams to develop user-centric capabilities that empower a wide set of user personas, both internally and externally.</li><li>Help shape the roadmap and technical direction of our web applications.</li></ul><p>In your first 3–6 months, you might:</p><ul><li>Build a new feature for visualizing insights into an ongoing clinical trial.</li><li>Develop a physician workflow for turning outputs from our AI algorithms into a customized diagnostic report.</li><li>Enable study sites to better manage the enrollment of study participants.</li><li>Deploy new features to help our Clinical Operations team track compliance.</li></ul><div class="markdown-heading"><h3 class="heading-element">What you will bring</h3><a id="user-content-what-you-will-bring" class="anchor" href="https://github.com/beacon-biosignals/knowledge-base/blob/ed014247dd41a8ba2722015c2055df9ff67838e5/records/job-posts/front-end-engineer-iv.md#what-you-will-bring"></a></div><ul><li>8+ years of experience in front-end web development (React and Typescript).</li><li>Experience developing data-rich applications involving interactive visualization and manipulation of large amounts of data.</li><li>A product mindset — you care deeply about UX, edge cases, and performance.</li><li>You're familiar with GraphQL-based APIs, and can build consumers that scale well.</li><li>You're adept at identifying optimization bottlenecks, and debuggers and code profiling tools are an important part of your toolkit.</li><li>Strong communication skills and comfort working in a collaborative, async environment.</li></ul><p>Bonus points if you've:</p><ul><li>Worked on applications for clinical trials, patients, or in some other regulated environment.</li><li>Have experience in EEG or with DSP.</li><li>Have worked on back-end systems or infrastructure.</li><li>Contributed to open source React/Typescript projects.</li></ul><p>The salary range for this role is $170,000 – $190,000.

Salary ranges are determined using current market compensation data for this role and adjusted based on experience, skills, and location.
