Position Summary
BDR Solutions is seeking Gateway Automation Engineers to maintain EAG platform currency and coordinate technical delivery under EAGMO. Covers all event-driven currency work: runtime upgrades, SSO changes, certificate updates, gateway component upgrades, monitoring and logging compatibility changes, and dependency remediation. One engineer carries Technical Lead duties coordinating across all EAG task areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess EAG components, dependencies, versions, certificates, runtime components, identity integrations, CI/CD dependencies, and migration impacts; identify currency risks and sequencing dependencies
- Prepare and execute approved gateway/platform currency and technical refresh change packages within contractor-controlled and Government-approved boundaries
- Execute runtime upgrades, SSO changes, certificate updates, gateway component upgrades, container/platform compatibility changes, and monitoring/logging compatibility changes affecting EAG
- Prepare change records, implementation steps, validation steps, rollback plans, and release evidence for each currency event
- Perform functional, regression, connectivity, security, performance, observability, and operational readiness validation after each event
- Update runbooks, configuration baselines, version inventories, and operational documentation after each event
- Produce Platform Currency Assessments, Annual Currency Implementation Plans, Currency Change Packages, and Currency Validation Reports per schedule
- Required Qualifications
- 4+ years with API gateway or enterprise middleware platform operations: runtime dependency management, certificate lifecycle management, SSO integration, platform upgrades
- EAG/API-gateway automation components that integrate with Government-owned CI/CD pipelines — does not own or administer the CI/CD platform
- IBM webMethods platform currency, patching, and dependency management — strongly preferred
- Federal IT change management: change request processes, approval workflows, post-deployment validation evidence
- Strong documentation skills: change records, release evidence, rollback plans, runbooks, configuration baselines
- Active IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) required
Preferred Qualifications
- IBM webMethods administration or patching experience
- OpenShift or container platform upgrade and patching experience
- Certificate lifecycle management and PKI automation
- IRS or Treasury D&PE program experience
- The salary compensation range for this position is $155,000 – $185,000.
Compensation
decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
This position is contingent upon contract award. Employment is not guaranteed and will proceed only if the associated contract is awarded and funded.
In addition, U.S Citizenship is required. Select applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be able to obtain a government-granted security clearance. Individuals may also be subject to a background investigation including, but not limited to criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.
