About the Role
This is a high-impact, entry-level Product Manager role on an engineering-first team building an AI-powered platform for industrial research and development. You'll work closely with engineers to translate customer needs and strategic priorities into well-defined, executable work — gaining broad product and business exposure from day one.
What You'll Do
- Prioritize features, plan projects, triage issues, and actively unblock engineers in a deeply technical environment.
- Author 20+ detailed implementation tickets per week to guide engineering execution.
- Develop planning documents that drive larger initiatives from concept to delivery.
- Make informed judgment calls on which customer-facing issues to address next.
- Participate in management and strategic discussions to help shape the direction of the platform.
- Work in person from either the San Francisco or New York office alongside a collaborative team.
What We're Looking For
- Currently in school or within one year of graduation, with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 2+ software engineering internships or equivalent hands-on development experience.
- Strong computer science fundamentals and comfort writing code across the full stack.
- Familiarity with modern web technologies such as Python, React, TypeScript, Redux, and PostgreSQL.
- Demonstrated interest in product management, startups, or entrepreneurship.
- Proven ability to write detailed tickets and produce planning documentation.
- Experience supporting engineers and contributing to cross-functional or strategic discussions.
Compensation
& Benefits
Salary: $120,000 – $135,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Location
On-site in New York, NY or San Francisco, CA. This is a fully in-person role.
