Role Overview:

We’re seeking a Backend Engineer, Integrations to join our talented team as an

early engineer. In this role, you’ll work closely with our founders and

cross-functional teams to drive technical excellence, build reliable brokerage

and financial-service integrations, and contribute directly to shaping the

future of investing. This is a hands-on, highly impactful role in a fast-paced,

engineering- and product-focused company.

Responsibilities

* Design, build, and maintain robust backend systems that power our trading
platform and integrate with major U.S. brokerages.
* Own API clients, authentication flows, webhooks, and data synchronization
across external providers.
* Implement resilient distributed workflows that handle rate limits, retries,
duplicate events, and partial failures as we grow.
* Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and cross-functional
teams to deliver seamless integrations and accurate financial data.
* Drive impact in a hands-on capacity, improving integration monitoring,
reconciliation, and reliability from launch through ongoing support.

Qualifications

2-5 years of professional experience as a backend engineer, ideally in a
fast-paced startup environment.
* Proficiency in TypeScript for backend development (open to other languages).
* Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar cloud infrastructure.
* Expertise in API integration, asynchronous workflows, distributed systems,
and cloud-hosted applications.
* Proven track record of building and scaling backend systems to support rapid
growth.
Nice-to-Haves:
* Previous experience as a software engineer for trading, investing, or fintech
platforms.
* Previous experience working in hyper-growth start up.
* Experience with integrations involving platforms like Robinhood, Stripe,
Plaid, or similar platforms/apps.
* Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or other cloud infrastructure.
* Passion for building user-centered solutions and delivering impact.
* A self-starter mentality with strong ownership and problem-solving skills.
* Experience with some of these backend tech stacks: node.js, typescript,
graphql, nest.js, gcp, google pubsub, postgres sql, etc.
