Role Overview:

We’re seeking a Backend Engineer, Infrastructure to join our talented team as an

early engineer. In this role, you’ll work closely with our founders and

cross-functional teams to drive technical excellence, build and operate scalable

infrastructure, and contribute directly to shaping the future of investing. This

is a hands-on, highly impactful role in a fast-paced, engineering- and

product-focused company.

Responsibilities

* Design, build, and maintain robust cloud infrastructure and backend systems
that power our trading platform.
* Improve deployment pipelines, developer tooling, and observability to help
our engineering team ship reliably.
* Build resilient distributed systems, strengthen database performance, and
improve incident response and recovery as we scale.
* Collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, and cross-functional
teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable solutions.
* Drive impact in a hands-on capacity, directly contributing to a rapidly
growing and innovative company.

Qualifications

2-5 years of professional experience as a backend engineer, ideally in a
fast-paced startup environment.
* Proficiency in TypeScript for backend development (open to other languages).
* Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar cloud infrastructure.
* Expertise in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, deployment
automation, and production reliability.
* Proven track record of building and scaling backend systems to support rapid
growth.
Nice-to-Haves:
* Previous experience as a software engineer for trading, investing, or fintech
platforms.
* Previous experience working in hyper-growth start up.
* Experience with integrations involving platforms like Robinhood, Stripe,
Plaid, or similar platforms/apps.
* Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or other cloud infrastructure.
* Passion for building user-centered solutions and delivering impact.
* A self-starter mentality with strong ownership and problem-solving skills.
* Experience with some of these backend tech stacks: node.js, typescript,
graphql, nest.js, gcp, google pubsub, postgres sql, etc.
