Staff Cloud Engineer – Cloud Platforms

You will be working on a team that is building a cloud-based development

environment. You will work with a multi-disciplinary collaborative team of

hardware, software engineers and security specialists to design and implement a

secure cloud-based software development and maintenance environment. You will be

part of our employee-owned international research and engineering company. ARA

is recognized for providing technically superior solutions to complex and

Staff Cloud Engineer – Cloud Platforms Position

Requirements

• * U.S. Citizenship (No exceptions; green card holders are not eligible)
• * Current DoD Secret Clearance (or higher)
• * BS or higher in computer science, IT, engineering, applied mathematics, or a
• closely related field.
• * 2+ years relevant work experience with BS
• * Successfully acquire and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access
• * Successfully obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (Security+,
• CCNA-Security, etc.) within 60 days of hire
• * Good oral & written communication skills
• * Excel as a team player and strive to maximize team & department performance
• * Willing to work on-site, daily, at our Raleigh, NC or San Antonio, TX

• While the qualifications listed above are important, the following experience
• can help you ramp up quickly and maximize your impact:
• * Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure or other cloud platforms
• * Proficiency in programming languages like: C++, Java, Go or Python
• * Familiarity with containerization technologies like: Kubernetes, Helm, Amazon
• ECS/EKS or OpenShift
• * Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools such as:
• Jenkins, GitLab or Argo
• * Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible,
• SaltStack)
• * Basic knowledge of monitoring tools similar to: AWS CloudWatch, Splunk,
• Prometheus or Grafana
