DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Power Control Systems Engineer to help design and evolve new

power control systems across multiple product features. You will be responsible

for evolving the power control architecture deployed across Apple products to

extend battery life and improve user experience while meeting device power and

thermal constraints across multiple timescales. This work involves collecting

and analyzing performance/power data from real-world workloads, applying and

extending control theory and estimation techniques — including multi-timescale

constraint handling — to novel system problems, driving data-driven and

predictive approaches to power allocation, cooperating with systems and software

teams to characterize and analyze power/performance profiles, and evaluating

power control algorithms based on the resulting insights.
