About the role
What will you do at Apple?
Join the engineering team that delivers core algorithms powering Vision Pro’s
hand and gaze input and AI-powered experiences. Human Interface Devices (HID) is
looking for a Machine Learning Engineer with experience developing realtime,
resource constrained models for computer vision applications. We’re a mix of
signal processing, machine learning, and interaction algorithm engineers united
by a passion for building intuitive user interfaces and intelligence features
for the next generation of computing devices. Across Apple’s products, HID
bridges the gap between sensing technologies and user interfaces. The problems
you solve will be multidisciplinary and require strong collaboration and
communication with partners in sensor modules, algorithms, data, software, and
design. You’ll build features through the entire development cycle, from
prototyping and feature definition, data collection design, model development
and evaluation, and feature convergence.
DESCRIPTION
In this role, you will
- * Prototype and define features end-to-end, in
- collaboration with HW, SW, and design partners * Design data collections and
- synthetic data generation for model development and evaluation * Define key
- performance indicators to evaluate UX impact of model performance * Develop
- realtime, resource constrained models that power user input and intelligence
- features * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to root cause issues
- throughout the feature stack * Communicate user impacts of technical challenges
- to cross-functional stakeholders
