About the role
What will you do at Apple?
At Apple, we work every single day to craft products that enrich people’s lives.
Do you love working on challenges that no one has solved yet? Do you like
changing the game? We have an opportunity for a results-oriented and
extraordinarily hardworking DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer. As a member of our
multifaceted group, you will have the outstanding and great opportunity to craft
upcoming products that will delight and encourage millions of Apple’s customers
every single day.
DESCRIPTION
We're looking for a DevOps-minded engineer to contribute and grow the AMS
firmware validation platform — the CI/CD, infrastructure, and tooling that
builds, tests, and validates Mixed-Signal IP firmware from static analysis all
the way through hardware-in-the-loop silicon test.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
BS degree in technical discipline with minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
DevOps/infrastructure background: designing and owning CI/CD pipelines and
shared engineering infrastructure, with an automation-first mindset. Strong
Python for CLI tooling, orchestration, and system integrations against APIs,
webhooks, and service accounts. Hands-on experience operating self-hosted CI/CD
(GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar): pipeline design, runner
administration, job orchestration, and debugging failures at the infrastructure
level Proficiency with Git and the ability to integrate disparate build, test,
and reporting services into one coherent pipeline. Strong written and verbal
communication; able to drive cross-team triage and keep stakeholders aligned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Familiarity with the hardware/firmware development lifecycle; exposure to SoC
bring-up or silicon test. Comfortable working hands-on in a hardware lab —
setting up boards and test stations and keeping them running. Familiarity with
lab instruments (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, etc.) is a plus; day-to-day
signal-level debugging and board probing are not a core part of this role.
Experience with additional version-control systems (e.g., Perforce) or
server-hosted Git platforms C programming or firmware development experience.
Packaging and versioning tools (pip/conda, npm, or equivalent) and managing
dependency/release flows AI-assisted development and tooling (LLM agents,
MCP-style integrations) for code review, triage, and automation.
Containerization / service-deployment experience (Docker, etc.).
