Region Services Corporate Infrastructure (RSCI) is looking for an experienced

Windows Client Systems Engineer with a deep knowledge of Windows desktop

services, including virtual desktops and infrastructure.

Our mission is to deliver robust, highly available, and easy to use services to

our internal customers in support of the Amazon Dedicated Cloud for U.S.

Government customers. We are looking for a motivated engineer to deliver results

for our customers.

This is a hands-on position where your daily role will maintain and enhance

existing services, including Windows build / deployment capabilities, fulfilling

requests for application packaging / deployment and break / fix scenarios for

all technologies the team manages. This role will work closely with the Security

Compliance team to ensure security compliance with all desktop environments.

You will have a strong and diverse technical background that allows you to

approach problems with confidence and ingenuity. You must be a “lifelong

learner”, embracing the rapid innovations in technology and understanding how to

leverage them to continue to improve our products. A successful Windows Client

Engineer will drive the design and implementation of new services, find ways to

improve and automate our existing services, and provide escalation and mentoring

for junior team members.

This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and

maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. The position

further requires the candidate to opt into a commensurate clearance for each

government agency for which they perform AWS work.

Key job responsibilities

- Experience with Win OS, DNS, DHCP, and disaster recovery/business continuity

- GPO policy validation and impact assessment

- Security compliance — OS/application hardening, Nessus/Tenable vulnerability

remediation

- Understand 802.1x network authentication, Demonstrate ability to script in

Winodws environment using Powershell, AI and Automation

- Experience administering, maintaining, and operating Active Directory Windows

based networks

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or above, or Cloud+ or GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber
  • Security Professional) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials) or SSCP (Systems
  • Security Certified Practitioner)
  • - 4+ years supporting Windows OS to include 4 of the following: Active
  • Directory, DHCP, PowerShell, ECM, GPO, DNS, 802.1x, disaster recovery/business
  • continuity, AI, Automation
  • - ECM experience for OS imaging, patching, and software deployment
  • - PowerShell or equivalent scripting experience
  • - Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

Preferred Qualifications

  • - 8+ years supporting Windows OS to include 4 of the
  • following: Active Directory, DHCP, PowerShell, ECM, GPO, DNS, 802.1x, disaster
  • recovery/business continuity
  • - ECM experience for Windows OS imaging, patching, and software deployment
  • - Clear verbal and written communication skills for creating and collaborating
  • on technical documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures and Runbooks
  • - Bachelors Degree or Current Cloud+ or GICSP or GSEC or SSCP certification
  • - Experience with PowerShell, Python, Ruby, or Java automation

  • The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package
