About the role

What will you do at Amazon?

Containers are redefining how customers build, deploy, and run applications.

Increasingly, they need those capabilities beyond the cloud. The Amazon

Container Services team is looking for a Senior Product Manager (Technical) to

define the future of Kubernetes across cloud, on-premises, and edge

environments.

You will own product strategy and development for EKS's hybrid offerings: EKS

Hybrid Nodes, EKS Anywhere, and our growing partner ecosystem. That means

everything from vision and feature definition through prioritization,

positioning, and GTM/adoption.

We want someone who has solved customer problems at the intersection of cloud

and on-premises infrastructure. You should have a track record of working

backwards from ambiguous enterprise needs and turning them into products that

customers love, whether those customers run workloads in data centers, at the

edge, or across hybrid environments.

Working closely with engineering teams, you will see the direct impact of your

work on customers operating Kubernetes in constrained environments: air-gapped

networks, compliance-driven deployments, bare-metal infrastructure, and

latency-sensitive workloads. This is a high-visibility role that interacts with

all levels of AWS leadership.

Our ideal candidate brings deep familiarity with on-premises infrastructure,

enterprise IT, or hybrid cloud platforms. You understand how organizations

operate Kubernetes outside of public cloud: the operational pain, the partner

ecosystem, and the enterprise buying motion. You thrive in a fast-paced

environment that requires strong technical and business judgment.

You will define product requirements and go-to-market strategy for customers

running containers in hybrid environments. The role requires coordination across

engineering, sales, partners, and solutions architecture, as well as external

ecosystem partners. You'll work with enterprise customers,

hardware/infrastructure partners, and software vendors to prioritize roadmap

features and define new capabilities.

Key job responsibilities

- Own product strategy, roadmap, and feature definition for EKS hybrid and

on-premises offerings (EKS Hybrid Nodes, EKS Anywhere, partner integrations)

- Work backwards from enterprise customer needs to define product requirements

for hybrid Kubernetes deployments across data centers, edge, and air-gapped

environments

- Lead customer engagements (enterprise accounts, ISVs, infrastructure partners)

to collect requirements and validate product direction

- Partner with engineering to prioritize and deliver features across the full

product lifecycle, from concept through launch and adoption

- Build and execute go-to-market plans in coordination with sales, solutions

architecture, partner teams, and developer advocacy

- Define and track success metrics for hybrid adoption, partner ecosystem

growth, and customer outcomes

- Write narratives (PR/FAQs, strategy docs, business reviews) to drive alignment

and secure investment from leadership

- Represent EKS hybrid products externally at customer meetings, industry

events, and partner forums

- Coordinate across AWS container services (ECS, ECR, Fargate) and adjacent

teams (Outposts, Local Zones, networking) to deliver integrated hybrid

experiences

- Monitor competitive landscape and translate competitive intelligence into

product differentiation

A day in the life

You start your week talking to customers who run production workloads on

Kubernetes. You dig into what's working and what's not, then turn that into

product requirements. You whiteboard with engineering and UX to iterate on

solutions. You define the long-term roadmap, present strategy to leadership, and

track business metrics to spot opportunities. Some days you're reviewing

cross-team documents or mentoring peers. Other days you're on stage at a

conference. You own the product end to end.

About the team

The EKS team builds the managed Kubernetes service used by thousands of

customers, from startups to the world's largest enterprises. We help customers

run containerized applications reliably at any scale. You'll work with product

managers, engineers, and designers who ship fast and talk to customers

constantly. We value ownership, clear writing, and learning from each other. We

support flexible work arrangements that balance team needs with your life

outside of work. Basic
