About the role

What will you do at Amazon?

Quick is a business productivity product where people connect their real work —

their email, calendars, documents, chat, and enterprise data — and let Quick act

across all of it on their behalf. The desktop app is where that promise becomes

tangible: it is the persistent, always-on surface where people do their deepest

work, orchestrate complex tasks, and trust Quick to operate with full context

across everything on their machine and in the cloud.

We are looking for a Principal UX Designer to own the end-to-end design of the

Quick desktop app. This is the surface that determines whether Quick becomes

indispensable — the place professionals open first, keep running all day, and

rely on to stay ahead of their workload. You will define how people interact

with an AI that can see their local files, connect to their enterprise tools,

run tasks in the background, and surface the right information at the right

moment — and you will set the design standards that make that breadth of

capability feel coherent, trustworthy, and effortless rather than overwhelming.

Key job responsibilities

Own the end-to-end design of Quick's desktop app as a single, coherent

experience, setting the design direction and standards for every surface a user

touches, from first launch to daily habit.

Design how people connect and orchestrate their real work tools — email,

calendars, documents, chat, and enterprise data — so Quick can act across all of

them with the right context, permissions, and confidence.

Design the agentic surfaces where Quick works on the user's behalf: background

tasks, multi-step workflows, proactive suggestions, and autonomous actions,

making the breadth of what Quick can do feel trustworthy and in control rather

than unpredictable.

Design the information architecture and interaction patterns that let users move

fluidly between conversations, files, knowledge, and task management without

losing context or momentum.

Design for power users and knowledge workers specifically, where depth, speed,

keyboard fluency, and persistent workspace matter more than simplification, and

where structured, discoverable entry points coexist with open-ended AI

interaction.

Partner deeply with Product, Engineering, and Platform teams to translate the

unique capabilities of a native desktop app — local file access, background

execution, system-level integration, cross-device continuity — into experiences

that feel seamless rather than technical.

Set and evangelize desktop design standards across Quick, and raise the bar for

how quality, coherence, and craft show up across every surface of the app.

Mentor and provide design leadership to other designers, acting as the design

authority on the desktop experience and the connective tissue between desktop,

web, and mobile.

About the team

You will join the UX team behind Quick, working alongside designers, PMs,

Scientists and engineers building a business productivity product that people

trust with their most sensitive work. This role owns the admin portal, the

control plane where organizations govern what Quick can do. It is a space where

the right patterns are still being invented, and where your design leadership

sets the standard for how compliance and governance show up across the product.
