Position
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test our most demanding, cross-functional networking
- projects. Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straightforward
- solutions, and have a deep understanding of system inter-dependencies and
- limitations. Key responsibilities include researching and benchmarking Amazon
- technology against competing systems, contributing intellectual property through
- patents, and mentoring others on advanced technical issues. Assist in career
- development, guiding team members' growth and help managers navigate their
- team's career trajectory.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering,
- or a related field and five years of progressive post baccalaureate experience
- in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must have three years of
- experience in the following skills: (1) working with interior and exterior IP
- routing protocols, technologies, and platforms in a large scale data center,
- LAN, or WAN network environment; 2) developing engineering, deployment, or
- operations mechanisms to support IP network or networking systems; 3) responding
- to customer impacting events including mitigating and performing root cause
- analysis of those events; and 4) automation via Perl or Python programming.
