Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test our most demanding, cross-functional networking
• projects. Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straightforward
• solutions, and have a deep understanding of system inter-dependencies and
• limitations. Key responsibilities include researching and benchmarking Amazon
• technology against competing systems, contributing intellectual property through
• patents, and mentoring others on advanced technical issues. Assist in career
• development, guiding team members' growth and help managers navigate their
• team's career trajectory.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering,
• or a related field and five years of progressive post baccalaureate experience
• in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must have three years of
• experience in the following skills: (1) working with interior and exterior IP
• routing protocols, technologies, and platforms in a large scale data center,
• LAN, or WAN network environment; 2) developing engineering, deployment, or
• operations mechanisms to support IP network or networking systems; 3) responding
• to customer impacting events including mitigating and performing root cause
• analysis of those events; and 4) automation via Perl or Python programming.
