Position

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for protocol inter-networking and architecture of our cloud
  • computing platform. Configure and troubleshoot network traffic engineering using
  • BGP/OSPF and large-scale network operations and maintenance procedures. Analyze
  • networks and troubleshoot network bugs to successfully mitigate large scale
  • issues. Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers, as well as
  • upgrade software on routers, switches, firewalls and load balancers on a
  • large-scale network. Conceptualize large scalable network solutions, write
  • applicable acceptance and design documentation while implementing on a reduced
  • time scale. Mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering,
  • Mathematics, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or
  • as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or a related occupation. Employer
  • will accept three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation
  • as equivalent to the Bachelor's degree and one year of experience. Must have one
  • year of experience in the following skill(s): IP networking fundamentals and the
  • application of IP protocols; use of protocols and technologies, including
  • VLANs/STP, IPv4 & IPv6, TCP (internals & flow control), BGP, OSPF, HSRP/GLBP,
  • PIMv2, IGMP, LDP, TACACS, VPNs, MPLS, DNS, and HTTP; experience with either
  • Python or PERL scripting; and documenting and coordinating the deployment of
  • manual and automated tests for complex systems.
