Position

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for protocol inter-networking and architecture of our cloud
  • computing platform. Configure and troubleshoot network traffic engineering using
  • BGP/OSPF and large-scale network operations and maintenance procedures. Analyze
  • networks and troubleshoot network bugs to successfully mitigate large scale
  • issues. Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers, as well as
  • upgrade software on routers, switches, firewalls and load balancers on a
  • large-scale network. Conceptualize large scalable network solutions, write
  • applicable acceptance and design documentation while implementing on a reduced
  • time scale. Mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering,
  • or a related field and two years of experience in the job offered or a related
  • occupation. Employer will accept four years of experience as equivalent to a
  • Bachelor's degree and two years of experience. Must have one year of experience
  • in the following skills: (1) TCP/IP networking, IP routing, Server Load
  • Balancing, and Network Security architecture; (2) Core technologies such as IP,
  • TCP, OSPF/IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, Server Load Balancers, Firewalls, ACLs, DNS, DHCP,
  • IPAM, LDAP, and NFS; (2) experience with at least one of the following routers,
  • server load balancers, and firewall vendor platforms: Cisco, Juniper,
  • Alcatel-Lucent, Arista, Brocade, Extreme, Citrix, F5, Fortinet, Palo Alto or
  • related; (3) in-depth knowledge of and experience with networking or systems
  • technologies; (4) knowledge of network hardware and packet forwarding
  • architectures; (5) experience working in virtualized enterprise networking
  • environments; and (6) working in a Linux or Unix environment. Up to 25% domestic
  • and international travel required.
