What will you do at Amazon?

We are currently seeking a CMMS Engineer to serve as a system mater expert

within Amazon data center region. Ideal candidates will posses the ability to

design, develop and deploy innovative solutions to address operational

challenges. This role requires both effective contributions as well as the

ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams.

The scope of this role will include but not limited to owning the process from

start to finish with deploying the EAM platform in your data center region.

Working to support local data center teams with asset collection; maintenance

schedules, reporting, and training. As part of the global EAM team, you will

help drive global processes and document development. This role acts as the

gatekeeper for mission critical data in EAM, responsible for the accuracy and

reports produced in EAM. You will be required on a frequent basis to help

develop systems enhancement modules of core and advanced modules to meet

Regional or Global business requirements. There will be 20% travel when

launching new locations.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply

chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.

You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest

standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at

the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US citizen and obtain

and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

Key job responsibilities

The CMMS Engineer will be responsible for setup and maintaining site asset data

through Hexagon EAM. The engineer will work within the data centers to ensure

that asset details are captured to match the digital record. They will work with

corresponding teams to align and schedule maintenance within the CMMS

application. The engineer will proactively perform routine data scrubs, identify

and correct any anomalies, while continuously looking for ways to automate and

enhance processes. They will also plan and conduct training and workshop

sessions for large audiences within the organization.

A day in the life

CMMS Engineers connect AWS data center operations teams with the systems that

track physical equipment. They tag and catalog new equipment as sites grow,

support staff through Slack and training, schedule preventive maintenance, and

keep asset records accurate. They also handle administrative work and contribute

to projects that improve the tools the team relies on. It's a hands-on role

blending fieldwork, customer support, and system upkeep - ensuring every piece

of data center equipment is properly tracked, maintained, and ready to support

reliable operations.

About the team

The CMMS team is part of AWS Data Center Central Operations, responsible for the

Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems that keep our physical infrastructure

organized, maintained, and audit-ready across data center sites. We work closely

with multipel Data Center Operations, Field Engineering, and Infrastructure

Reliability teams to make sure every asset is accurately tracked and properly

scheduled for maintenance. Our team combines on-site fieldwork with system

administration, and we're continually looking for ways to automate manual

processes and improve the tools our stakeholders depend on daily. Basic

Qualifications

  • - 3+ years of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • experience
  • - 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience
  • - Bachelor's degree in enginnering or equivalent, or 3+ years of facilities
  • management experience
  • - Detail-oriented, comfortable walking large facilities, and precise with data
  • entry.

Preferred Qualifications

  • - 5+ years of Computerized Maintenance
  • Management System (CMMS) experience
  • - 2+ years of using SQL, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), or Oracle experience
  • - Working knowledge in EAM equipment hierarchy, object coding and naming
  • convention.

  • The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package
  • will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final
  • compensation will be determined based on factors including experience,
