This is an excellent opportunity to join Amazon's world class Non-Relational and

Emerging Database focused technical team in Denver, CO. You will be working with

some of the best and brightest engineers and technical managers while also

developing your skills and furthering your career within one of the most

A successful engineer joining the team will do much more than write code and

triage problems. You will work with Amazon's largest and most demanding

customers to address specific needs across a full suite of services. You will

dive deep into technical issues and work diligently to improve the customer

experience. By working together on behalf of our customers, we are building the

future one innovative product, service, and idea at a time.

We are seeking highly motivated engineers who are focused on operational

excellence and troubleshooting complex system operations, have a good

understanding of Linux and automation. We need engineers who understand how to

both think big and simplify solutions to complex problems; all the while

ensuring that our customers continue to have the best experience possible.

This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and

maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires

that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI

security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government

agency for which they perform AWS work.

A day in the life

On a "typical" day, our engineers may dive deep to find the root cause of a

customer issue, investigate why a metric is trending in the wrong direction,

launch a new service or feature, or discuss radical new approaches to automate

operational processes. As a member of our team you will join a dedicated group

of engineers who provide troubleshooting and operations support, and innovate to

automate operational tasks.

Qualifications

  • - Associate's degree, or Cloud+ or GICSP (Global Industrial
  • Cyber Security Professional) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials) or SSCP (Systems
  • Security Certified Practitioner)
  • - 3+ years of industry work experience
  • - Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI
  • eligibility or above

Preferred Qualifications

  • - Experience with AWS
  • - 1+ years of support procedures and methodologies for production computing
  • environments experience
  • - Experience automating routine tasks
  • - Experience working with high-availability, distributed systems and services
  • - Experience with Linux
  • - Experience in troubleshooting
  • - Knowledge of Agile practices such as SCRUM, Kanban, or SAFe
  • - Knowledge of scripting languages (bash, python, etc.)

  • The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package
  • will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final
  • compensation will be determined based on factors including experience,
