Technical Recruiter

We are looking for a Technical Recruiter with 2+ years of experience to join AfterQuery as one of the first recruiting hires and own end-to-end hiring for engineering and technical roles at one of the fastest-growing AI companies in YC history. You'll partner directly with the founders to build the recruiting function from the ground up, sourcing world-class talent from AI labs, quant firms, big tech, and elite universities. What will you be doing?

Own full-cycle recruiting for software engineering, infrastructure, applied AI, and product engineering roles Build high-quality outbound sourcing pipelines targeting top technical talent from AI labs, quant firms, and high-growth startups Partner directly with founders on hiring strategy, role calibration, interview design, and closing Create a high-touch, fast-moving candidate experience that reflects AfterQuery's talent bar and culture Build the foundation of the recruiting function — systems, workflows, templates, and talent market maps Key Requirements 2+ years of technical recruiting experience, ideally at a high-growth startup, AI company, or technical recruiting agency Proven track record sourcing, engaging, and closing strong engineering candidates in competitive markets Experience building outbound sourcing pipelines from scratch Strong understanding of technical roles across software engineering, infrastructure, full-stack, and applied AI High agency and comfort operating in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment
