Senior Software Engineer - DevOps

Job Description
Collaborate across global teams including Engineering, IT, and Support to gather requirements, design, develop, implement, test, and maintain technical solutions, internal DevOps tools, Engineering development infrastructure, CI/CD, release process, etc.
Define, design, and develop automated infrastructure provisioning framework on hybrid clouds and on-prem with IaC methodology, Terraform, OpenShift, CloudStack, Ansible, etc.
Develop, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for A10 products, including AI services and LLM models
Integrate tests such as unit, security, vulnerability, smoke, static analysis, etc. into CI/CD workflow
Provide technical support internal Engineering customers and develop tools and processes to help increase Engineering productivity
Proactively participate into technical design and code reviews
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the DevOps and development environments
Document procedures, processes to enable knowledge proliferation
Research and develop AI driven tool development and maintenance
Qualifications
- Experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, Tooling, Build, and Release
- Familiar with public clouds such as OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP as well as on-premise infrastructure
- Familiar with Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, or other infrastructure orchestration tools such as OpenShift, CloudStack, OpenNebula, etc.
- Hands-on experience with developing, automating, and debugging scripts using one or more programming languages such as Python, Linux shell, Go, Groovy, Perl, and other relevant programming languages
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline automation, branching strategies, software build systems, release processes, and engineering tools for software and SaaS products. Familiar with build processes such as Make, Docker, Podman, Maven, npm, Go, etc.
- Familiar with GitLab, GitHub, JIRA, Jenkins, Spinnaker, Artifactory, and integration of tools for project management, defect tracking, static analysis, security vulnerability scanning, OSS licensing, etc.
- Experience with Linux RHEL/Ubuntu, yum/dnf/apt package management. Familiar with Linux administration and maintenance, user/group management, NFS, etc.
- Familiar with virtualization technologies such as Kubernetes, VM, Docker containers, KVM, VMware ESXi, Proxmox, etc.
- Knowledge of observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch, Kibana, etc.
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related degree and 2+ years of related experience

- Targeted compensation guideline: 140-150K OTE.
Compensation
will vary based on number of factors, including market demand for specific skills, role type, job level, and individual qualifications. Final salary offers are determined by considerations including, but not limited to, subject matter expertise, demonstrated skill level, relevant experience, geographic location, education, certifications, and training.
