During my time as a product manager at XYZ Corp, we needed to enhance our app with a feature upgrade. I started by conducting various primary research methods, including focus groups, interviews, and surveys, to collect user feedback, while also performing an in-depth analysis of user data and previous feature usage. At the same time, I carried out a thorough audit of our competitors in the market. I found that many of their apps included a feature that was still missing from ours. Notably, this feature was among the most requested by our users based on the feedback we collected. I compiled these insights into a data-driven presentation for our leadership team, emphasizing the opportunity, competitive benchmarks, and the potential effects on user experience. This analysis, paired with the competitive review, allowed us to prioritize this product opportunity over others and guided our development team. Consequently, after the feature was launched, we experienced a 40% rise in user engagement.
