In my role as a PM for Horizon Worlds, my initial focus would be on metrics that offer quick insights into our performance and advancement towards essential objectives. Broadly, these metrics would fall into two main categories: Business metrics and Product metrics. Business Metrics: These metrics provide a view of the overall health and trajectory of the business, including measures such as Gross Margin, Operating Margin, Net Profit Margin, and Customer Lifetime Value. Product Metrics: As a product manager, it's crucial to ensure that the product remains engaging and beneficial for our users. The primary metrics I would prioritize include User Engagement, User Retention, Daily Active Users (DAU), Monthly Active Users (MAU), and churn rate. Additionally, a vital indicator would be usage analytics, which encompasses device and platform usage, geographical distribution, session durations, and frequency of use. It is essential to remember that the selected metrics should align with broader business objectives and strategies. The prioritization of these metrics would vary based on the strategic goals at any given time.
