Google's Project Loon has a vast potential market, as numerous rural and remote regions around the globe lack internet access. The World Bank reports that approximately 50% of the global population, or about 3.5 billion people, are without internet connectivity. If we presume that Google could connect just 5% of these individuals and charge a modest $5 per month for the service, the possible annual revenue would amount to $10.5 billion. This is, of course, a broad estimate and does not consider various factors such as infrastructure expenses, regulatory hurdles in different countries, competition, and more. Nonetheless, it illustrates the significant potential of a project like this.
