To monitor the user's search history, queries can be stored in their session when they are not logged in. However, if the user has an account, these queries can be saved in the database and linked to their profile. The user's location can be determined by their IP address, which is sent at the start of the session. A Geolocation API can be utilized to identify the user's city based on this IP address. Job postings can be filtered at the query level by using database parameters to retrieve jobs located within the user's city, aligned with their search history. The algorithm will give priority to more recent searches, deeming them more relevant. Regarding the user interface, due to the potential amount of data to display, pagination or infinite scrolling methods could be implemented to control the number of records loaded simultaneously. The interface might also offer options to further narrow down the search, such as by posting date, company, and salary range, to ensure a highly personalized experience.
