In a project at my previous job, I was part of a team dedicated to developing an innovative kitchen appliance. During the early phases, we encountered a communication issue. Different teams were working independently, resulting in designs that did not align with engineering and manufacturing specifications, which caused delays. To address this problem, I proposed the use of collaborative design software that facilitated real-time updates and comments. This allowed every team member, regardless of their role or responsibilities, to contribute to the design process. Additionally, it fostered a shared understanding of the project's limitations. As a result, we not only met our deadline but also produced a high-quality product that received praise from management and was well-received by consumers in the market. This experience reinforced my belief in the critical importance of effective team collaboration in product design, and I strive to promote this in every project I engage in.
