In my previous position as a project manager, I was part of a team that had recently faced a major setback in project execution. The team was skeptical and demoralized due to a loss of confidence in their leaders' capabilities. I started by acknowledging the past failure and outlining my strategy to prevent similar issues in future projects. I recognized that transparency and ongoing communication were essential for rebuilding their trust. I provided frequent updates, welcomed open and honest feedback, and made myself available to address any questions or concerns. If I didn’t have an answer to a question, I would admit it and promise to find out. This transparency helped cultivate trust in my leadership. Gradually, the team restored their confidence in leadership. Our open lines of communication led to enhanced morale and improved work quality, and by the end of the year, we had successfully completed all our projects, with the final one finished ahead of schedule.
