User Interface & Experience: The frontend can be constructed utilizing a blend of technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3. The design should be straightforward, user-friendly, and adaptable, which can be achieved through HTML5 and CSS3. Content Delivery Network: Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) are essential for efficient video distribution. I recommend using AWS due to its global reach. Their CDN, known as Cloudfront, can be effectively utilized for this purpose. Video Uploads, Transcoding, and Storage: Upon video uploads, files should initially be directed to temporary storage. The videos are then transformed into various formats using a transcoding service like AWS Elastic Transcoder. After transcoding, the videos will be moved to a more permanent storage solution in AWS S3 and cached in the CDN for faster access. User Registration and Authentication: User authentication and security will be managed through JSON Web Tokens (JWT). Additionally, OAuth can be integrated for users who prefer to log in using their social media accounts. Video Ranking and Recommendation System: A predictive analytics engine can be developed utilizing Python libraries such as TensorFlow and PyTorch. This machine learning model will analyze user behaviors and preferences to generate video recommendations. Backend Infrastructure: The backend can be implemented using NodeJS with ExpressJS to manage API routes, MongoDB for the database, and AWS EC2 for hosting services. Each service can operate in independent Docker containers and communicate with one another through Kubernetes for automatic scaling of the application.
