In my former position as a product manager at XYZ tech, we observed a notable decline in product engagement. To tackle this issue, I led the initiative to utilize data analytics. We gathered data on our product usage over a span of six months, which included details on how, when, and why users interacted with our product. Upon conducting a detailed analysis, we discovered that our users exhibited significantly higher engagement during certain times of the day. With this knowledge in hand, we decided to time our in-app notifications and updates to coincide with these peak periods. Although this was a straightforward change, it was supported by robust data. Three months later, when we reviewed our metrics, we found a 30% rise in product engagement. By responding directly to user behavior informed by data, we successfully re-engaged our product users.
