Situation: While I was employed as a Project Manager at XYZ company, we were engaged in a challenging software implementation project. Unfortunately, our testing revealed more bugs than our development team could resolve, which affected our timelines. Action: Even though it was primarily the QA team's duty to address these issues, I recognized the importance of staying on schedule. I facilitated a meeting between the development and QA teams to discuss the recurring problems. Based on the insights gained, I organized a workshop for the development team to tackle common bugs during the coding phase. Result: This proactive approach led to a 40% reduction in bugs identified during the testing phase, allowing us to meet our project deadline without sacrificing quality. Additionally, my efforts improved understanding and collaboration between the two teams for future projects.
