Senior/Principal Researcher

As an accomplished expert in a broad research area (e.g., Agentic AI, Multimedia and Vision, Deep Learning, and Multimodal Foundation Model) has a comprehensive understanding of the relevant literature, research methods, and business and academic context. Creates synergy among MSRA research groups in multiple locations to enable collaboration and creativity. Doctorate in relevant field OR equivalent experience.

Passion to see research has a real-world impact on key challenges for society. Experience publishing academic papers as a lead author or essential contributor. Experience developing core AI algorithms and solutions in the fields including but not limited to agentic AI, multimodality, deep learning, and foundation models.

Strong influencing and communication skills to engage with various stakeholders externally and internally. Be able to work within a dynamic team High personal standard to deliver a thoughtful, polished and quality work product.
