About the role
What will you do at Stello Agents?
About Stello Stello is an AI transformation firm. We build AI agents that take over operational workflows for mid-market and enterprise companies. Our clients range from professional sports teams to public insurers and financial services firms.
Some of them trade on the NASDAQ and NYSE. The role As a Data Engineer on Integrations, you connect our agents to the systems our clients already run. You build the pipelines and connectors that bring their data in and send the results back out.
Agents are only as good as the data they can reach. Client data lives in CRMs, ERPs, help desks, spreadsheets, and old databases with no documentation. You work directly with client teams to understand those systems, then you make the data reliable, current, and safe to use.
What you will do
- Work with client IT and operations teams to understand their systems, data, and access rules.
- Build and maintain connectors to CRMs, ERPs, help desks, and data warehouses.
- Design pipelines that sync on a schedule or in real time, and recover cleanly from failures.
- Map messy client data into clean models that agents and reports can use.
- Write agent results back into client systems without duplicates or data loss.
- Build tests and monitoring, so a broken sync is found before the client finds it.
- Explain technical options and tradeoffs directly to the client.
- Examples of the work Sync a client's CRM with an agent that qualifies leads, and write each result back to the right record.
- Pull daily reports out of a legacy system with no API, and make them available to an agent.
- Build the tables and SQL that show a client how much work their agents did this month.
- Every client brings different systems and different constraints.
- You will test what works, understand why things fail, and build integrations people can depend on.
What we look for
- 3+ years building production data pipelines or integrations that people depended on.
- Strong SQL, and strong Python or TypeScript.
- Experience with third-party APIs, webhooks, OAuth, and rate limits.
- You design for failure: retries, idempotency, and backfills.
- You use coding agents every day, and you review their output carefully.
- You can learn an unfamiliar business and turn its requirements into working software.
- You are comfortable with clients, and you explain technical decisions clearly.
- How we work This is a full-time remote role, open to candidates who are authorized to work in the United States.
- You report directly to the founders.
- You may travel to client sites when a project calls for it.
- We are a small team.
- We review each other's work, share what we learn, and help when a teammate is stuck.
- People who deliver get more scope quickly.
