Infrastructure Engineer / Systems Administrator

Infrastructure Engineer / Systems Administrator One full-time, hands-on IT role supporting Ram Healthcare and AVA in the Chicago area. Work closely with the infrastructure lead and lab director to establish and maintain the Microsoft environment. Daytime hours are 8:00 AM–4:30 PM; local/in-person work is preferred.

Initial priorities Confirm the Microsoft organizational structure and setup dependencies with the infrastructure lead. Establish Ram Healthcare's Microsoft environment first, then AVA's Microsoft 365 Business Premium setup. Plan and support the transition from the current Google/Gmail environment, including users, devices, identities and access.

Provide day-to-day support, maintenance, troubleshooting and clear documentation. Understand lab data-entry, serialization and QR-code workflows; related experience is useful. Plan AVA's first-site infrastructure and evaluate eventual CSP support for Microsoft escalation and account recovery.

Later developmentBajaj Medical's existing Microsoft environment is a later phase. The longer-term roadmap includes Windows Server 2025, identity federation, lab/DSCSA applications, file services if needed, backups, network/VPN access and eventual two-site resilience. Detailed architecture and regulatory validation will be scoped with the infrastructure lead and responsible business owners before implementation.

Who would fitA practical Microsoft 365 / Windows administrator or experienced IT support specialist who has delivered real user, device and office setup work, can communicate with nontechnical colleagues, and documents changes carefully. Google-to-Microsoft migration, Entra identity, networking and backup experience are helpful. You will have support from the infrastructure lead and room to learn.
